LEADERSHIP OF GRADUATE UNEMPLOYED NURSES AND MIDWIVES ASSOCIATION (GUNMA 2018) 20/08/20 had a meeting with the Ministry of health over the 2018 batch of nurses who are still home over their clearance.

Leadership of Graduate Unemployed Nurses and Midwives Association continue to express their profound gratitude to our cherished members for this enthusiastic support so far.
Indeed, leadership were present at today’s meeting at the ministry of health. The meeting was scheduled for graduate unemployed health professionals.
In attendance were the Director HR, Deputy PRO GRNMA, Allied health professionals council Registrar, Head of labour relations MoH, graduate unemployed Allied health professionals National Executives, GUNMA 2018 National Executives and some GUNMA 2017 National Executives.
During the meeting, the Director HR said the that Financial clearance has been released for the following group of health professionals. Which would be make public soon by the Ministry of Finance ( MoF).
- Pharmacist
- Allied health professionals
- Rnap, Rnac, Diploma and degree 2018
All the above mentioned groups Financial clearance were shown out physically . Leadership of GUNMA 2018 were given the opportunity to have a feel and also read the 2018 Financial clearance hearing of everyone at the August meeting.
Undoubtedly, leadership can state confidentially that Financial clearance has been released for 2018 batch of nurses and midwives comprising of 6,348 – Registered Nurse Assistant Clinical(RNAP) & Registered Nurse Assistant Preventive (RNAP) AND 12,097 – Both Diploma & Degree nurses dated 18th August, 2020, with anaeffective date/when to start work/Duty assumption date of 1st April, 2021 the said Financial clearance expires on 31st December, 2021(the date the F.C can no longer be used).

- Registered Nurse Assistant Clinical and Registered Nurse Assistant Preventive – 6,348
- Diploma and Degree nurses – 12,097
Total – 18,445
Date F.C was issued – 18th August, 2020
Portal open – January ,2021
Effective date/when to start work 1st April, 2021
Expiring date of F.C 31st December, 2021
Leadership raised concerns about our effective date that it was not favourable .Hence,the need for the effective date to be changed to a month in ,2020 . It was explained that Ministry always give preference to recruiting fewer numbers as it happened to the 2017 batch during recruitment where the degree nurses were recruited first , followed by the Diploma group then the Rnap and Rnap with different effective dates respectively. - Pharmacist – 536 effective date 1st December, 2020
- Allied health professionals – effective date 1st January, 2021
- Rnap, Rnac , Diploma and Degree – 18,445 effective date 1st , April 2021
At this juncture, leadership would like to express deepest appreciation to our stakeholders for helping secure Financial clearance for all the above health professionals and also to the outgone national president of GUNMA 2017.
We entreat all members to remain calm and resolute as leadership continue to engage stakeholders.
